The Program
In July 2023, Nia implemented its 3D PrintAbility technology at Colombo Friends in Need Society (CFINS) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Concurrently, Nia provided training to multiple CFINS clinicians, empowering them with the necessary skills to utilize 3D PrintAbility for the production of below-the-knee prosthetics for the residents of Sri Lanka (the Program).
CFINS and Nia are cooperating to position CFINS as a recognized center of excellence for 3D PrintAbility in South Asia. This entails CFINS becoming a key provider of 3D PrintAbility services, encompassing installation, training, and technical support for these and related technologies.
The 3D PrintAbility Program at CFINS received financial support from various Rotary Clubs, including: the Rotary Clubs of Capital City, Calgary Centennial, Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario, along with sixteen additional Rotary Clubs and Rotary supporters in the UK.
